Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for you to join our team as a Program Manager for the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) in Huntsville, AL. IBCS, which integrates disparate sensors and effectors, is the centerpiece of the US Army’s modernization of air and missile defense.
As a Program Manager, you will directly report up to the US IBCS program leadership and be responsible for all programmatic elements including cost, technical and schedule performance. You will lead initiatives to drive out cost, control risk and effectively implement change. You will interface with program leadership, the product line team, functional leadership, and external customer stakeholders.

Leads the successful execution of programmatic elements within your program(s)Accountable for achieving program cost, schedule, and technical requirementsLeads initiatives to drive out cost in all facets of the business area, from production to software support functions, and effectively implement changePerforms ROI calculations and determines whether to use program funds or pursue alternative funding if applicability is sufficiently broadLeads comprehensive development and management of program risk & opportunity, inclusive of risk mitigation activities and opportunity realization activitiesCollaborates with Product Line to oversee change activities, optimize CCBs, etc. for nature and phase of programCAM responsibility for program management elements of the assigned program(s)Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of program management leadership experience OR Master's degree with 6 years of program management experience OR 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of degreeDemonstrated leadership within a large, cross-functional matrix organizationExperience in program-level financial management and reporting (Earned Value Management, Control Account Management, Risk Management)Demonstrated executive communication, presentation, and collaboration skillsActive Secret clearancePreferred Qualifications:
Experience leading programs through multiple product lifecycle stages, including development, transition to production, and sustainmentFamiliarity with command and control systems and air and missile defenseExperience working with the US ArmyProgram management experience on an ACAT-1 program7+ years of program management experienceUnderstanding of organizational financial management and reporting (Annual Operating Plan)Experience in resource planning and staffing to planProven ability to manage and lead program managersProposal development experienceAgile experience and trainingProject Management Professional certification, or similarSalary Range: $178,500.00 - $267,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
