Northrop Grumman Aeronautics System Sector is seeking a Manager Project Management 2 to support our Manufacturing Engineering organization. The leader will join our team of qualified, diverse, individuals on-site in Melbourne, Florida.
This position is on-site in Melbourne, FL and cannot be performed remotely due to the nature of the role.
This role will support the Melbourne Manufacturing Engineering Leadership Team. This leader will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership abilities, visual data representation techniques, and effective problem-solving capabilities. The selected candidate will be required to develop mechanisms for monitoring performance metrics and for intervention and problem solving with various support groups. They must be knowledgeable of various program life cycles, manufacturing engineering capabilities, scheduling techniques, continuous improvement strategies, compliance requirements, and financial practices to aid in cost and schedule objectives and implement strategic initiatives.
The selected candidate must demonstrate effective communication with various levels of leadership visually and verbally and have the ability to present to executives and various functional organizations as required.
Responsibilities:
This leadership role will be responsible for the products and services related to overseeing and managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects and over design release areas.Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.Develop training road maps to solve performance opportunities and coach manufacturing engineers and/or leaders.Report status of work to respective customers in written, visual, and verbal formats.Analyze multiple data sources, data gathering in detail to identify trends and patterns.Coordinate with different functional teams to implement solutions and monitor outcomes.Ordering of materials and goods to ensure the on-time delivery of our product.Working closely with functional/Program manager to provide direction to maintain production support.Develop continuous improvement initiatives.Provide technical and leadership support to the ME team.Build trust within the organization and align team towards a clear set of impactful goals.Drive strategic initiatives and tactical actions that deliver results to improve program cost and schedule performance. Ensure program milestones and performance goals are achieved.Deliver on short-term, high visibility program requests, while creating a vision and executing a long-term strategy to influence change within and outside the organization.Coordinate the development and maintenance of manufacturing schedules and plans to ensure adequate labor, facilities, equipment, tooling, and materials are available on time to ensure customer requirements are met. Preparing for, and facilitating, a broad range of functional Manufacturing Engineering organization meetings and events including leading and managing weekly/monthly/quarterly reviews, the senior leadership team’s weekly staff meeting agenda, the bi-annual leadership summit, site visits, and other meetings/reviews.Developing mechanisms for monitoring manufacturing engineering goal progress as well intervening and problem solving with Manufacturing Engineering leadership and support functions as required.We offer flexible work arrangements, 9/80 or 4/10 work schedule, phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 5 years' experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, and/or Project Management related experience OR a Master's Degree with 3 years' experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, and/or Project Management related experience2 years of proven experience leading teams and/or projects.Active DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher that has been granted / renewed within the last 5 1/2 years or in a continuous evaluation.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain DOD Top Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as required by the business.Preferred Qualifications:
Manufacturing Engineering experience.Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience utilizing them professionally.Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.In scope Program AccessExperience Microsoft Office Tools (PowerPoint, Project, Excel, etc).Control Account Management (CAM) ExperienceEarned Value Management System (EVMS) experience. Demonstrated ability to understand detailed program financial performance.Experience in Tableau, Power BI, or other visual data representation tools. Proficient in Teamcenter, CAD, and SAP.Demonstrated ability to balance and influence multiple competing priorities and interests.Proficient in managing multiple budgeted networksRobust problem solving and analytical skills.Comprehensive knowledge of company and sector operations, policies, procedures, and PrOP.Ability to Travel 10% domestically to support business need.What we offer:

Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
