Your voice matters here, because we know that to inspire and retain the best people, we must empower them.** **The Radiation Oncology manager's core responsibility is under the direction of the Director and with considerable latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative provides an optimal practice environment that ensures the delivery of quality patient care.** **Oversees the 24-hour operation of the Radiation Oncology department with accountability for leadership, overall fiscal management, staffing, planning, organizing, directing and managing operations. Works collaboratively with the Radiation Oncologists and Physics to ensure the delivery of accurately prescribed courses of radiation therapy for patients of any age group in accordance with department, hospital, and regulatory agency standards.** **Role models proactive, collaborative working relationships across all hospital functions in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Develops programs, policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure patient's needs for radiation oncology services are assessed, evaluated, and met.
