What You'll Do
As the Lateral/Executive Hiring Recruiting Manager, you will lead efforts to attract and hire high-impact lateral and executive talent in alignment with the firm’s strategic goals. Your primary focus will be on strategic talent acquisition, stakeholder engagement, and creating a
seamless candidate experience. In this role, you will oversee the recruitment of experienced hires within the Consulting Track (CT), managing the full recruiting cycle and driving key initiatives that enhance the recruiting function. You will manage the end-to-end executive
hiring process, engage closely with senior stakeholders, and contribute to recruiting strategies that support the firm’s growth and long-term success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Strategic Talent Acquisition: Develop and implement recruiting strategies to attract top executive talent aligned with firm goals and future needs. Build strong talent pipelines by sourcing and engaging both active and passive candidates through various channels.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management: Collaborate with senior leaders, including partners and practice heads, to ensure alignment on hiring needs, candidate profiles, and timelines. Serve as a trusted advisor, providing market insights and best practices to enhance recruitment strategies.
• Candidate Assessment & Selection: Lead the assessment process and manage the selection & offer processes, conducting interviews, reference checks, and guiding offer negotiations with precision.
• Industry Knowledge Across Practices and Functions: Leverage a deep understanding of the consulting industry, including nuances across various practice areas and functional domains, to effectively align recruitment efforts with the specific needs of each area.
• Market Intelligence & Talent Mapping: Conduct detailed market research and talent mapping for target companies, sectors, and regions. Maintain a strong industry network to source high-caliber candidates for niche and executive roles.
• Project Management & Process Optimization: Oversee multiple recruitment projects simultaneously, using robust project management skills to ensure efficiency and a positive candidate experience. Identify and implement process improvements to optimize recruitment workflows.
• Data-Driven Decision-Making: Utilize recruitment metrics and KPIs to monitor performance, refine strategies, and provide stakeholders with actionable insights. Prepare data-driven reports and recommendations to continuously enhance recruiting effectiveness.
• Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Advocacy: Champion DEI principles throughout the hiring process, fostering diverse talent pipelines and promoting an inclusive recruitment approach across all levels.
• Executive Communication & Negotiation: Manage critical communications and negotiations with senior candidates, ensuring transparency and alignment with the firm’s culture. Provide a seamless and positive candidate experience from start to finish.
• Employer Branding & Candidate Experience: Function as an ambassador for the firm’s brand, communicating values, culture, and career opportunities to attract prospective hires. Ensure a consistently positive experience. for candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Other responsibilities: Oversee consulting contractor processes and manage relationships with candidates, hiring managers, search agencies, and other recruiting sources. Lead and contribute to global recruiting initiatives, helping to advance strategic recruiting objectives.
What You'll Bring
• 11+ years in executive or lateral hiring, preferably within consulting or professional services.
• Proven track record in full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, and closing senior-level candidates.
• Experience managing multiple searches and competing demands with strong project management and prioritization abilities.
• Skilled in candidate assessment and adept at enabling recruiting teams and stakeholders to reach peak performance.
• Ability to maintain a sophisticated, targeted network, building genuine, longterm relationships with high-value contacts and potential candidates.
• Deep understanding and insight into candidate pools within complex sectors and functional areas.
• Competency in using data and metrics to inform recruiting decisions and enhance processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring practices.
