Primary Responsibilities:

Leading a team of software engineers: You will be responsible for managing and providing guidance to a team of software engineers, overseeing their work, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget Project management: You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing software development projects from initiation to completion. This includes defining project scope, setting goals, allocating resources, and managing timelines Technical expertise: As a manager, you should have a solid technical background in software engineering. You will be expected to provide technical guidance and mentorship to your team, as well as stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies Team collaboration: You will facilitate effective collaboration within your team and foster a positive work environment. This includes promoting teamwork, facilitating communication, and resolving conflicts Performance management: You will be responsible for evaluating the performance of your team members, providing feedback, and identifying areas for improvement. You will also be involved in hiring and onboarding new team members as needed Stakeholder management: You will interact with various stakeholders, including clients, product managers, and other teams within the organization. It is important to effectively communicate project progress, gather requirements, and manage expectations Quality assurance: You will ensure that software development processes and practices adhere to quality standards. This includes conducting code reviews, implementing best practices, and overseeing testing and debugging efforts Continuous improvement: As a manager, you will be expected to drive continuous improvement initiatives within your team. This involves identifying areas for optimization, implementing process improvements, and staying updated on industry best practices Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is required. Technical expertise: Java: Solid knowledge and experience in Java programming language Spring Boot: In-depth understanding and hands-on experience with the Spring Boot framework, including Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security MongoDB: Solid knowledge in working with MongoDB, including data modeling, querying, and using the MongoDB Java driver or Spring Data MongoDB. Preferred if candidate has worked with large data sets containing millions of records RESTful APIs: Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs using Spring Boot, including API documentation (Swagger/Open API) and adhering to best practices Object-Oriented Programming (OOP): Solid understanding of OOP principles and design patterns Testing and Debugging: Familiarity with unit testing frameworks like JUnit, integration testing, and debugging tools like Eclipse or IntelliJ Version Control: Proficiency in using version control systems like Git for code management and collaboration Deployment and Application Servers: Experience in deploying Spring Boot applications on servers like Apache Tomcat or using containerization technologies like Docker Database Management: Knowledge of working with databases, SQL, and familiarity with other relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL Agile Methodology: Knowledge of working in Agile development environments, including Scrum or Kanban Leadership experience: Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role is important. This includes managing software development teams, overseeing projects, and providing technical guidance and mentorship Communication skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and clients. This includes the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical individuals

Experience in Healthcare industry MongoDB: Knowledge in working with MongoDB, including data modeling, querying, and using the MongoDB Java driver or Spring Data MongoDB.
