Overview Please note this position is based in our Support Office in Phoenix, AZ. The Manager, Software Engineering leads a dynamic team of software engineers to facilitate the design, development, and delivery of innovative software solutions. This role is critical to ensuring the successful execution of projects while fostering an environment of collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence. This person will be an essential connection point for Product Teams and will work closely with their leadership to ensure alignment and shared priorities. They will also be part of an ‘Innovation Core’ which will provide a vehicle for our team to continually look ahead at technologies and strategies that help us add greater value and increase speed to market. Overview of Responsibilities Provide leadership, mentorship, and career development for a team of software engineers Support offshore teams and ensure they are equipped to succeed Partner with architects to ensure design, development and delivery of high-quality software systems and applications Contributes to and helps maintain architectural guidelines, specifications, and technical standards. This would include coding standards, tools, services, and platforms related to the current and future technological environments Identify risks and provide strategies to ensure project success Drive process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency within the team Manage Azure DevOps implementation Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field 7+ years of experience in Software engineering, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role Expertise in relevant programming languages such as C#, TypeScript, T-SQL, PowerShell Experience with Azure cloud technologies Strong understanding of software development methodologies ( Agile, Scrum, etc). Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Work Item management Excellent verbal, written communications and presentation skills with an emphasis on being able to present technical topics in an easy-to-understand way for non-technical customers. Flexibility of providing support during odd hours and peak seasons. Personality Traits: Maintain high levels of integrity and dependability.
