Your role

Join us on our mission to advance procurement for a better tomorrow and a thriving Merck. As the Sourcing Manager – Marketing and Sales in our Healthcare Procurement Organization, you will be instrumental in shaping sourcing strategies, optimizing supplier relationships, and enhancing procurement efficiency through developing and leveraging innovative AI solutions. Your drive will be key to realize transformative initiatives that reflect our commitment to our mission. We are looking for a driven, results-oriented procurement and/or marketing professional, ready to take on comprehensive responsibilities and make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Strategic Sourcing Initiatives: Take ownership of sourcing strategies for the Marketing & Sales procurement category, focusing on key areas such as marketing agencies.Drive AI and Technology Projects: Spearhead global initiatives that leverage AI and technology to enhance category performance. You will explore and implement technological solutions that streamline procurement processes and improve supplier engagement.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams to ensure alignment on sourcing strategies and objectives.  

 

Who You Are:

A motivated self-starter with a strong desire to lead initiatives and drive results.An effective communicator with the ability to align interests across diverse organizational levels.An experienced procurement or marketing professional with expertise in indirect or Marketing spend areas.Proficient in project management and familiar with AI & advanced data analytics technologies.Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), SAP and Uptimize.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in German is a plus.
