What we're looking for: 

The Manager Sourcing is a first-level manager who leads a team by overseeing the planning, staffing, and day-to-day operations of the Sourcing function. This role will be responsible for ensuring assigned areas operate in a cost effective and efficient manner to achieve defined business objectives and goals.

 

 

What you'll do: 

 

 

Provide direction to team according to established policies and management guidance.

Oversee day-to-day work schedules and plans.

Review relevant factors to analyze situations and resolve issues.

Work with senior management to plan and develop / control budgets to ensure cost-effective operations to deliver high quality products to customers.

Develop sourcing strategies for indirect categories and gain stakeholder alignment. 

Manage tactical purchasing process and investigate automation and efficiency opportunities. 

Manage supplier relations and contract compliance while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.

Responsible for achieving defined business objectives and contributes to department KPI’s.

Continuously analyze market and delivery conditions to ensure present and future material availability.

Work with Internal Stakeholders to develop product specifications and source substitute and new materials.

May handle complex problems pertaining to sourcing, purchasing, suppliers, inventory, claims, and customer relations.

Visit suppliers and manufacturing plants to ensure product quality and service.

Perform other duties as needed.

 

What you have:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

6-8 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience. 

1-3 years of management experience.

Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.

Able to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively.

Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.

Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.

High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.

This employee will be responsible for direct reports.

This position may require some travel.
