The Manager space management is responsible for space planning in the Netherlands. The Manager space management leads the Space planning team. The Space planning team strengthens the functionality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of the utilization of space and creates functional and aesthetically pleasing interior designs for the floors of ASML’s buildings in the Netherlands.
(S)he directly leads Space Planners, Data Analysts and Space designers and is responsible for the total set of utilization of space in various locations of the organization in the Netherlands.
Role and responsibilities
You will be the manager of the space planning team within the CRE department. In your scope, you will oversee space planning, setting clear and measurable priorities for the space planning team. This includes developing the masterplan for 2025 and beyond. It also involves coordinating, managing, and resolving medium- and short-term housing issues, considering information about projects, measuring occupancy and collecting business needs to achieve best-fit solutions.
The responsibilities span across offices, factories, warehouses, "grey areas," and suppliers. The space planning manager serves as a key link between various departments, project management, and suppliers, fostering a sustainable collaboration model while maintaining strong partnerships with business partners and internal clients.
As Manager space management, you will be responsible for the following:
Provide guidance and direction to the team, coaching and developing professionals to enhance their overall skills and performance.
Manage, coordinate and act as business representative for all space related data, quality and related processes
Evaluate improvements, communicate these to the team, and provide guidance in their work and goals.
Ensure the quality of space planning by improvements to current projects.
Collaborate intensively with the Business Partners (Liaison team between CRE and the internal clients),the Real Estate Development team (REDS) and the team of the Centre of Excellence (CoE) to ensure space usage is aligned with business requirements and financial objectives.
Provide guidance and support to departmental leaders in the selection and design of new workspaces based on the Workplace Experience Book developed by our Center of Excellence
Education and experience
To help us tackle our challenges at CRE as space planner manager, you’ll need:
Bachelor or Master degree in Facility/Hospitality Management or similar
At least 10 years of relevant experience in Facility Management, Housing and Space Management, Scenario-, and Demand management

Our CRE Netherlands department is responsible for all CRE activities/responsibilities for the Netherlands portfolio and ensures alignment with CRE strategy, business continuity and operational excellence in accordance with CRE’s foundational elements.
