Manager of our Sterile Processing Department at Mission Hospital Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, CA. This position is Full-time and will work 8-hour Day shifts leading our team.

In charge of effectively and efficiently running the entire operations of the Sterile Processing Department, the backbone of Mission Hospital O.R. The SPD Manager plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and controls all the activities related to equipment/instrument decontamination, processing, sterilization, and quality control.  This position involves foresight and determines priorities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of department service without sacrificing safety, aseptic, and infection control standards.

Required Qualifications:

Graduation from academic or military program in Surgical Technology. Or equivalent education/experience. National Certified Ambulatory Surgery Sterile Processing Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution upon hire or National Certified Endoscope Reprocessor - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire or National Flexible Endoscope Reprocessors - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution upon hire or National Certified Healthcare Leader - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire or National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire or National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire or National Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution upon hire or National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution upon hire or National Management in Sterile Processing - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution upon hire. 5 years Experience in hospital sterile processing as Team Leader or Supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Applied Sciences. Coursework/Training: Training in decontamination, processing, sterilization, and quality control.
