As part of a passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of rocket engine subassembly production at our new, state of the art facility in Huntsville, Alabama. The Manager – Engine Subassemblies, will lead a group of team leads and technicians in day-to-day execution of critical engine component subassembly, cleaning and testing. Hardware assembled by this team includes turbo-machinery, combustion devices, control valves, gas manifolds and pump housings. This position will be responsible for Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule and Morale for the Subassemblies team. This is a hands-on position that requires versatile leadership, effective communication, and strong project management skills. The permanent location of this position is Huntsville, Alabama. The Huntsville site is slated to open in Q1 2020. We intend to start the candidate in the current facility in Kent, Washington then transition the role to Huntsville. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Responsibilities:
Desired:10+ years’ experience in assembly/production of turbo-machinery, pumps or control valvesExperience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardwareExperience with 3D measurement tools, such as Faro Arms and Trackers with Verisurf softwareWorking knowledge of 3D CAD toolsAbility to read and interpret engineering specifications and drawing requirementsWorking knowledge of a variety of fluids including GN2, GHe, hydraulics, rocket propellants and cryogenicsExperience with handling and cleaning various alloys (316 SS, Inco 625, CRES 21-6-9, Monel & various types of aluminum, brass and copper)
