We are looking for you to join our team as a Manager Subcontracts 1 for the Mission Systems Subcontract Services Team and the Mission Systems Consulting Procurement team with a hybrid role based out of Linthicum, MD. Full-time telework may considered for this role for the right candidate.

What You’ll get to Do:

The Mission Systems Subcontract Services Team (“SCS”) team specializes in the execution of complex terms and conditions agreements and a member of this team is considered a subject matter expert in terms and conditions and negotiations. The SCS Team is committed to enhancing GSC's negotiation and subject matter expertise through strategic and risk-based thinking and education. The Consulting Procurement team places purchase orders for outside consulting services in support of key captures and operations support. 

The candidate will execute some of the most complex negotiations and consultant procurement purchase orders, while managing a motivated high-performing team.  This individual will need to exhibit the ability to own and propel high impact projects and demonstrably show how they can advance the larger organization through their efforts. Candidate will need to exhibit the ability to set a vision and lead others.  It is expected that the candidate will grow and develop the members of the team and make a positive impact on the organization.

The position will require complex negotiations with our strategic and critical suppliers to establish favorable contractual positions and to settle disputes. This individual will own contractual management for the supplier and coordinate and collaborates with key stakeholders such as contracts, the law department, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program and end-users.

This position requires the ability to balance and influence multiple competing priorities and individuals. A strong commitment and collaborative approach is paramount. Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as project management, analytical, planning, presentation and human relations’ skills are required.  Candidate must have clear examples exhibiting experience in multi-tasking to a successful outcome and usage of above mentioned communication and project management skills.

Basic Qualifications for Manager Subcontracts 1:   

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria

Bachelor’s degree with 5 years or master’s or J.D. degree with 3 years of relevant experience in either supply chain, law, contracts, or a closely related area.1+ years of experience as a team lead and/or manager of people1+ years of experience of negotiations, contracts, procurement, or terms and conditions.Proficiency in MS Office SuiteAbility to regularly present information to senior level leadership.U.S Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications for Manager Subcontracts 1:

Ability to create and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external customers.Passion for leading teams, problem solving and collaboration.Experience with SAP.Experience drafting complex contractual documents, including, but not limited to, Overriding Agreements on Terms and Conditions, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and Long-Term Supply/Pricing Agreements.

Salary Range: $107,300.00 - $169,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
