What You'll Be Doing (Job Responsibilities)
Supply Chain Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement strategies for the overall supply chain operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of products.Collaborate with senior management to define supply chain goals and objectives in alignment with company strategy.Forecast demand and plan inventory to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained without overstocking or stockouts.Work closely with other departments (e.g., Sales, Service, Finance, Customer Support) to align supply chain activities with business objectives and customer demands.Procurement and Vendor Management:
Oversee the sourcing and procurement of materials, goods, and services needed for delivery.Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers / vendors in alignment with Finance to optimize cost.Inventory and Warehouse Management:
Manage the flow of goods through warehouse, ensuring efficient storage, handling, and inventory control.Develop and maintain inventory policies / SOPs to optimize stock levels, reduce excess inventory, and minimize stockouts.Oversee order fulfillment processes to ensure timely delivery to customers.Hands on experience with ERP – Oracle is preferredLogistics and Distribution Management:
Oversee transportation and logistics operations including optimization by Milk-Run to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers.Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and transportation carriers to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery efficiency.Track and resolve shipping or delivery issues to maintain customer satisfaction and maximize revenue recognition in fiscal period.Process Improvement and Cost Optimization:
Analyze supply chain performance and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.Implement best practices and digitization to streamline operations, reduce lead times, and improve productivity.Use data analytics and reporting tools to measure performance and make informed decisions.- Risk Management and Compliance:
Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate those risks, including disruptions, delays, or price fluctuations.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and ethical sourcing practices.Stay updated on industry trends, supply chain technologies, and best practices.Team Leadership and Development:
Play an active role in assessing, defining and improving competency levels of supply chain teams, including procurement, logistics, inventory, and warehouse staff.Set team objectives and monitor performance to ensure high productivity and meet key performance indicators (KPIs). Refine and improve performance parameters, bringing in clear ownership and accountability.Develop and re-skill direct reports with the ability to groom and grow them for larger, more complex opportunities within the overall SCM operations. Foster a culture of continuous improvement.Drive effective people management processes - talent selection, deployment, development & coaching, performance management, succession planning and reward & recognition to create a high performance, highly motivated, customer and business centric team.Travel Requirements : 10%
What We Are Looking For (Skills & Qualifications)
Bachelor’s Degree with Science background preferably with a Post Graduate management degree in Supply chain managementMinimum 15 years of experience procurement roles in Engineering / Devices Industry and experience of independently managing the team.Professional certification in SCM processes would be an added advantage.Prior experience of working with global organizations.Should be conversant with local market practices as well as global best practices within overall SCM as well as warehouse management.Excellent presentation skills and competence in MS office.Maturity, positive approach to problem solving, seasoned judgment, good business instincts, well developed sense of personal accountability.Great data visualization and presentation skills to provide recommendations based on insight.Strong people leadership skills in continuously raising the bar in hiring, engaging, and developing talent.DIVERSITY & INCLUSION : At Veralto, we are dedicated to building and sustaining a truly diverse and inclusive culture.
