Schedule: Full-time, Exempt, 40 hours per week
Job Summary
Under the immediate supervision of the Director of Surgical Services or other designated management performs first line management of operations within the Operating Room and Sterile Processing Department. Includes decisions concerning nursing practices, planning, staffing, disciplining, evaluation, problem solving as well as any other management tasks as assigned, Will provide input into budgets for the areas of responsibility. Provides direct patient care according to unit needs.
This position also oversees and manages the Sterile Processing Department.
Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications
Licensure: Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
BCLS within 30 days of hire SAMA Level 1 within 30 days of hire ACLS within 90 days of hire AACN EKG within 4 months of hireMust complete NIMS modules ICS-100 and ICS-200 within 30 day of hire
Experience: Minimum of two years in clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting which included charge nurse or equivalent responsibilities.
Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred.
