Job Description:

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Manager Systems Engineering 2 to provide objective-oriented direction and work assignment to team members utilizing management guidelines & general policies of the NG program located in Melbourne FL.

The successful candidate will act as a Control Account Manager (CAM). Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Candidate will be familiar with preparing proposals and Bases of Estimates and managing to a SOW. Will also be able to interpret SOW to find most effective and efficient way to assist customers in finding solutions, both common and innovative. Must coordinate and collaborate with customers, peer group managers, and other stakeholders. Responsible for developing training and career development pathways for assigned staff. Prepares and standardizes processes to improve how we do business and trains staff to do the same.

Candidate will support the prime with customer trade study efforts to identify suitable solutions that will meet customer needs.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in an Information Technology or STEM discipline with 8 years of applied experience. In lieu of formal education, 12 years of applied experience may be considered.

Must attain and maintain DoDI 8570 certification if offer of employment is extended within 6 mos.

Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays and weekends.

Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.

Demonstrated understanding of Earn Value Management System (EVMS).

Demonstrated understanding of DoD Aircraft Maintenance Operations.

Demonstrated understanding of a complete aircraft ground system.

Preferred Qualifications:

Active DoD Top Secret clearance.

Experience with Aircraft Ground Systems.

Experience delivering Software through IaC.

Experience with Interface Control Document implementation.

Experience with Requirements to Deliverables tracking.

Experience working with DoD Aircraft Maintenance personnel/operations.

Salary Range: $135,100.00 - $202,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
