Key Responsibilities:Reports to the Sr. Manager Technical Operations Line Maintenance Safety and Compliance and oversees division safety training, issues, and regulatory requirements. Manages all safety and compliance matters within the designated region including secondary maintenance stations. Supports the Managing Director of Line Maintenance and local management team as a champion to reduce the total number of injuries, injury severity, aircraft damages, lost time, operational impacts, and total cost.
Manages all safety and compliance matters for assigned region Proactively addresses safety and compliance concerns for the assigned region and system wide operations as a wholeLeads investigations with local management for non-compliances and injury/damage incidents using standard methods. Ensures robust root cause, mitigations, and corrective action plans are implemented and sustained locally and system wide as applicableEnsures implementation and adherence to safety policies and procedures in support of division and corporate safety objectives of the company and outside regulatory agenciesImplements SMS principles in surveillance activities to identify hazards of high safety and/or compliance riskLeads regular risk reviews and monitoring plans for risk identification including through the Safety Action Team meetingsLeads the implementation of one or more to Tech Ops Safety team system wide initiativesProvides mitigations and resolutions for safety issues and concerns from IBT and IAM Union Management Safety CommitteesServes as the Tech Ops subject matter expert and master trainer on one or more safety subjectsShares expertise and lessons learned with division and cross-division safety counterparts for improvements across the operationCoordinate and assist during Internal IEP, IOSA, DOD, FAA, EPA and OSHA driven auditsQualificationsUnited values diverse experiences, perspectives, and we encourage everyone who meets the minimum qualifications to apply. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
