Manager Technical Project Management Battery Systems Global (m/f/d)
Key role and responsibilities
Strong leadership and management of a team of Technical Project Managers (TPM) located in Darmstadt (HQ), Auburn Hills (PTC) and Shanghai (CTC)Give structure and further develop the global team set up for TPMOversight, planning & prioritization of the global team resources to ensure project success and compliance to customer requirementsResponsible for the implementation and planning of technical activities within the projects from the concept phase until technical readiness for SOP across the global Battery Systems locationsResponsible for the compliance to the defined project scope and the defined budgetCentral point of contact for the relevant stakeholders; from customer management to internal management incl. the functional leads with the global R&D departmentRegular participation in customer management meetingsResponsibility for the application and further development of processes and methods in Technical Project Management and the PDLPPassing on strategies/targets and ensuring the effective implementation of team and individual servicesPrepare and drive technical decisions according to both automotive development processes (ASPICE,EDF) and the LA/GS principle – empowering the team and creating a working environment for theteams to perform, develop our products and themselves.Participation in management meetingsFurther development of the TPM team's technical & project management skillsTalent management within the team, including conducting performance reviewsCoaching and mentoring team members to improve efficiency and effectivenessAcquiring and training new personnel in Technical Project ManagementJob requirements and qualifications
Master's degree (or similar) in mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, industrial engineering, business administration or comparable fieldMulti-year experience in Technical Project Management or Systems Engineering, especially in the automotive, rail, aviation or medical technology industriesMulti-year experience in the management of complex projects (overall project comprising hardware, mechanics, electronics and software)Multi-year experience in a leadership role for interdisciplinary powertrain / propulsion or HV automotivecomponents, i.e., technical project management, systems development or similarExperience in change or transformation projectsConfident appearance, precise and convincing communication skills even in rapidly changing and challenging environmentsKnowledge of the development process (including FMEA, FTA, A-Spice, V-model etc.) and quality management methods (e.g. IATF 16949)Fluent in English, German as a plusStrong analytical and conceptual skills including well developed problem-solving capabilities.Strong communication and teamwork skillsOur Offers
