**DESCRIPTION** GPP Database Link (https://cummins365.sharepoint.com/sites/CS38534/) **Job Summary:** This primarily shop or office personnel management position acts as a group leader for projects and work assignments mainly in one of the following environments: Laboratory, Drafting/Product Configuration, Functional Excellence, or Engineering IT. Directly manages resources that deliver data and/or information to stakeholders both within and across business functions. The position involves maintaining strong working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders primarily within the technical community, but may also span into other business functions. **Key Responsibilities:** Leads a small technical group of supervisors and/or technicians, allocates appropriate resources to meet customer needs and provides feedback to project team members in accomplishing tasks and goals. Works primarily with internal customers to understand their needed support requirements and engages collaboratively to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement Applies sound knowledge of engineering principles and manages teams on the specification, design and maintenance of the work environment in support of customer needs Provides independent leadership of smaller business impact projects or ownership of complex components, products, systems or services with greater elements of ambiguity over an entry level engineer and with full accountability to the project team. Delivers independent execution of established and emerging work processes and systems, while still developing technology or product knowledge. Leads the development and improvement of work processes and systems across a functional discipline area within a business unit site. Coordinates and directs work amongst technicians and temporary student employees, assists in the transfer of knowledge to lesser experienced engineers through either indirect (scope of influence) or direct management of a small, local group of engineers. Provides support and guidance to influence technical direction within a project team and continues to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role. College, university, or equivalent Associate's degree or certification in an appropriate STEM field is required. Equivalent Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline area may be required for select roles. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. **Experience:** Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making. Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred. **QUALIFICATIONS** Job Summary: Lead the small size test operation team to high effectively execute the engine development testing and deliver the good quality test data or other testing related service to meet the customers’ and projects’ needs Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintain and Improve the on-site housekeeping status, and implement 5s management. 2. Identify the on-site HSE risks and continuously improve the on-site HSE risks and awareness to achieve zero recordable incident target, as well as work with HSE to build world class HSE environment and culture. 3. Coordinate the related test resource to high effectively complete those test tasks with guaranteed quality as plan. 4. Implement the round robin program as plan, and improve the data quality. 5. Develop and improve the related operation procedures to improve the operation efficiency and quality. 6. Ensures that lab instrumentation is traceable and technicians have proper training. 7. Works collaboratively with other engineering disciplines to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement. 8. Coach and motivate employees, provide guidance and direction on resolving problems and issues 9. Coach and develop the technical skills of the whole team, including test engineer and test technicians. 10. Assess the performance and provide feedback to the direct reports, including technicians. 11. Support the test facility team to develop the test capability and maintain those test equipment and instrumentation Skills: 1. Able to ensure that testing is done according to defined procedures. 6. Fundamentals Of Measurements - Understands that measurement instruments must be appropriately selected for a given application. Understands concepts of measurement range, precision, accuracy, and traceability. 7. Test System Design And Diagnostics - Able to set up and configure standard test equipment. Must have a solid understanding of sensors, computerized data acquisition and control systems, and how to select appropriate components for a given test requirement. Able to tune controls to achieve stable operation. 8. Computer Based Data Acquisition - Able to select and configure appropriate computer based data acquisition equipment for a given measurement requirement.
