Manager Trainee - Energy

Position Summary:

 This position participates in the Management Training Program in preparation for future management opportunities within the company.  The Manager Trainee works with experienced leaders in Dead River Company field operations who are responsible for successfully meeting our customer’s needs by supplying energy products and services in a fast paced and dynamic environment.   The Trainee serves as a Dead River Company ambassador by adhering to our Brand Promise and Customer Guarantees and Pledges.

Essential Functions:

Spends time in each department of one or more Market(s) to attain a thorough understanding of all operations and processes. This includes Office/Customer Service, Delivery, Delivery Center, Service, Sales and Credit. Gains a thorough understanding of all company policies, procedures, and regulations relating to the retail petroleum business. Attains a working knowledge of all computer systems involved with customer accounts, inventory, service billing, and delivery. Assists the Regional Director or General Manager with special projects and may also be involved in such areas as budgeting, financial statement review and analysis, building and fleet maintenance, customer service issues, and marketing. Takes part in company sponsored management training programs.

Other Tasks:

Assists with special projects and other work-related duties as assigned.

Experience:

Demonstrated leadership experience preferred.

Education:

A degree in Business or Logistics is a plus.
