Manager - Wage and Hour Practice

Stout is looking for an experienced Manager for our DCI (Disputes, Claims and Investigations) Wage and Hour practice team. This is a full-time position which offers full benefits, 401K, and potential for annual bonuses.

Stout offers deep experience working on behalf of our clients to analyze complex data in connection with high stakes business litigation and general economic consulting. Our Managers work closely with staff members and experts to analyze data and provide independent thoughtful analyses.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage various engagement objectives and day-to-day tasksReview and analyze large quantities of data and develop complex analysesManage day-to-day client relationships and anticipate project scope, timing and budget issuesDevelop and maintain productive relationships with clientsManage competing client expectations and work with staff to accomplish deadlines and deliverablesEstablish work plan, resource needs and appropriate methodologies to optimize projectFacilitate and lead client discussionsManage risks and utilize creative problem solving techniquesDevelop junior level staff and provide professional development opportunitiesEnsure timely completion of project deliverables while maintaining a high quality of work-productPrepare and present written analyses, reports and presentations to clients

Required Qualifications:

Four year degree at a college or university, preferably in Economics or FinanceFive or more years of experience in wage and hour consultingA working knowledge of advanced database management and analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, STATA, R, etc.Expert in Microsoft suite skills, including Word®, Excel®, PowerPoint®, Access®Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skillsStrong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple, complex projects in diverse areasExcellent teamwork, time management, organizational, and problem-solving skillsIntellectual curiosity and the ability to self-motivateRigorous attention to detail and commitment to quality controlFlexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, timetables, and leadershipAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously, interacting effectively with project teams and clients, as well as being able to juggle the demands and scheduling needs of multiple clients at once.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong expert report preparation experienceExpert level experience with SAS and Microsoft Access

The range for this role considers several factors including but not limited to prior work and industry experience, education level, and unique skills. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
