Overview:

We are looking for a Managing Account Supervisor to join our celebrity Talent Buying team!

Located in our NY or CHI office (preferred), this role will give you the opportunity to work in a hands on a fast-paced environment where you would have a integral role in managing celebrity, music, and athlete relationships and negotiating contracts on behalf of Ketchum’s brand clients.

We connect brands with top talent from all facets of entertainment, music, and sports.  Our deep relationships within the industry allow us to navigate agents, managers, publicists, record labels, and law firms to secure the right celebrity partners for commercial campaigns, PR programs, event and personal appearances, branded content, and social media activation.

Responsibilities: 

Independently lead client relationships in partnership with a senior account lead.  Provide high value counselling and consulting for both internal and external clients. Ability to sell-in celebrity talent strategy to internal account teams and clients. Research and provide suggestions of appropriate talent and entertainment opportunities for Ketchum client projects. Draft and negotiate talent and entertainment contracts coordinating with team members, talent representation and Ketchum legal. High level of professionalism, ability to talk to and present to senior level clients. Work with team members to manage and facilitate payment to talent via vendor forms, POs, and invoice processing. Have strong relationships with talent agents, managers and publicists across a variety of verticals (tv/film, sports, culinary, music, etc.). Monitor and keep abreast of industry news and trends report updates to team. Create and manage project budgets. Monitor internal status of jobs and due dates; advise senior team members of developments; verify billing accuracy. Facilitate and coordinate various talent needs; prioritize and manage high volume of detail work including logistics such as travel, scheduling working days, media trainings, glam and publicity teams, etc. Experience and comfort-level with understanding business points in PR, Advertising and Sponsorship contracts. Ability to follow the budgeting and billing procedures required by Ketchum and our clients. Able to recommend programs and formulate contracts that include all aspects of a program including production days, media tours, social media, usage rights, etc. Take a leadership role in seeking new and incremental business opportunities. Ability to manage 1-2 direct reports


Qualifications:

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance would qualify. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Business, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Sales, Entertainment or related field 5-8 years of experience in talent buying, casting, entertainment public relations, talent agency, talent management or a similar position Strong presentation & communications skills Understanding of SAG and AFTRA implications for contracts Legal or contract related experience a requirement Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, etc Experience generating and processing invoices and purchase orders along with vendor paperwork Willingness to travel to staff client activations

 

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, past training, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity and local geographic market data.  A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.  #LI-Hybrid
