ERM is seeking a hands-on Managing Consultant, Remediation Management, with project management experience and established client relationships, to play a key role in growing our business. The ideal candidate will be proficient with a variety of site investigation techniques and technologies. As a senior engineer/manager, you will contribute your leadership, client relationship, and technical consulting skills to support the growth of ERM’s business and client base in the Northeastern US, while networking with ERM's global Contaminated Site Management technical team and technology experts to share best practices across the industry. Experience with federal Coal Combustion Residual regulations is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contribute to business development of ERM’s global Liability Portfolio Management and Remediation service area. Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take active leadership role in developing new business with new and existing clients. Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business.Manage field work, including soil, sediment, ground water, and surface water sampling, aquifer testing, drilling oversight and soil logging, soil boring and monitoring well installation, well development, purging and sampling, and construction oversight.Coordinate and direct drilling, surveying, and laboratory services.Provide management and leadership in construction oversight on environmental remediation projects, and operations and maintenance of environmental remediation systems.Preparation of site work plans, spreadsheets, figures, and technical reports.Manage and oversee Phase I and II environmental due diligence assessments to support property transfer transactions.Provide technical assistance on EHS compliance projects, including preparation of plans and reports for environmental permit applications. Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments.Assist in ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulations.Assist in developing scopes of work and cost estimates for use in competitive proposals.Communicate with subcontractors, regulatory agents, tenants, and clients during field activities.REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's in engineering or Geology; Masters a plus. Or the equivalency of 8+ years related experience in lieu of education.4+ years of experience in large commercial remediation projects, including willingness/interest in field assignments.Ability to succeed in a consulting pace, handling multiple project assignments, and maintaining flexibility, while meeting strict deadlines.Ability to work independently and as part of a team but will be expected to take ownership of all tasks assigned.Ability to work on projects located in New England and adjacent states for short term assignments; travel expected up to 25%.Proficiency with a variety of site investigation techniques to sample environmental media.Working knowledge of applicable environmental regulations.Detail-oriented with mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports; excellent writing skills and strong attention to detail are critical to this position.Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.Strong computer literacy skills, including proficiency in industry standard software (MS Office suite).Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area. 40-hour HAZWOPER training a plus.May be required random substance testing and background check.Who We Are:
