Role Description
The Managing Director will drive the overall strategy, governance, and daily operations at Live Nation’s venues in Finland; Helsinki Halli and Allas Live. The Managing Director will oversee the delivery of world-class experiences for fans, artists, clients, and partners through innovative and commercially viable solutions.
Helsinki Halli is a multi-functional indoor arena, with a capacity of up to 15,500 guests. The venue opened in April 1997 and, following it’s reopening in 2025, will be one of the premier entertainment venues in Scandinavia hosting concerts, sports events, comedy, e-sport, TV shows and family entertainment.
Allas Live is a 2,750-capacity open-air venue within the iconic Allas Sea Pool complex, which includes swimming pools, saunas and restaurants. In partnership with Allas Sea Pool, Live Nation hosts the annual Allas Live outdoor concert series, which launched in 2020.
You will be leading a team of full-time employees with functions such as: administrative, technical, digital, commercial, operational, hospitality and F&B, plus a number of part-time staff. Furthermore, you will be part of the senior leadership team at Live Nation Finland in Helsinki.
Who you are
Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience
+ The ideal candidate will have experience as a General Manager, Managing Director, or Chief Operating Officer in a high-volume venue, events, or hospitality environment.
+ Additionally, knowledge and respect for the operational impact of health and safety regulations are crucial.
What the role includes
+ Meeting business objectives and overseeing operations, ensuring the events diary is maximized and all contracted events are managed to the highest standard.
+ Maintaining and developing strong client relationships, implementing and evolving business strategies, and generating new opportunities for commercial success.
+ Key duties include budget management, forecasting, cost control, and maintaining venue standards.
+ Leading and developing staff, fostering a high-performing team.
+ Ensuring compliance with licensing, health and safety, and legal regulations, while managing all venue departments and building maintenance.
+ Supporting Live Nation’s venue growth strategy by identifying further opportunities for expansion
+ Supporting Live Nation’s sustainability objectives through Green Nation
