Job Details:

The Managing Director, Cobb-Vantress Finance & Accounting (F&A), will serve as the CFO and strategic partner to the Business Unit President, Shelby Watkins, while reporting to the Segment CFO, Ash Bhumbla. 

 

This role is responsible for managing all financial reporting and internal control aspects of the Cobb business segment. It is instrumental in providing financial leadership to the organization to deliver the stated financial and business goals. The position encompasses building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships, including the SVP of Cobb. The role will oversee a global organization of approximately 75 people, with sites all over the world.  

 

The candidate should expect to overlap with the current CFO for a period of time to allow for a smooth transition. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Oversee a global F&A organization of approximately 75 people, ensuring effective financial management across multiple sites worldwide. 

Maintain effective systems and controls to ensure the integrity of financial data and processes in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and GAAP/IFRS requirements. 

Ensure timely and accurate reporting and analysis of financial results and financial trends. 

Responsible for the accurate tracking and reporting of the company’s Cobb spend, inclusive of monthly and quarterly account analysis and reporting to external audit partners. 

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis processes, including financial communication to leadership teams. 

Lead budgeting & forecasting, including annual budgeting, quarterly financial forecasts as well as capital planning and forecasting 

Provide insight and analytical support to the development of quarterly and annual external investor messaging and support of 10Q and 10K filings. 

Develop and drive necessary financial policies, procedures, and internal controls. 

Lead change initiatives and process improvements. 

Drive process changes to improve efficiencies in overall accounting and finance processes.

Consistent delivery of timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis in a lean public environment. 

Effective use of tools and best practices to capture, analyze, and report financial data and trends. 

Highly analytical approach to identifying causes and drivers of issues and developing value-driving solutions. 

Ability to understand key operating levers and their impact on overall financial performance.

Forward-looking thinking, with the ability to anticipate challenges and opportunities and address them proactively. 

Strong communication skills, including listening and articulating complex issues clearly and insightfully. 

Ability to communicate effectively in writing. 

Partnering mentality with the ability to collaborate with the business to develop consensus and drive process efficiencies and business solutions.  

 

Requirements: 

Education: Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; Master’s or MBA preferred. 

Experience: 15 plus years of finance/accounting experience required with previous supervisory experience. 

Computer Skills: Proficiency in standard computer applications, including SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook 

Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly, succinctly, and logically, both verbally and in writing. Experience leading a high-performance finance team that is action-oriented and a strong business partner. Excellent people and organizational leadership skills. 

Supervisory: Responsible for directly and indirectly managing approximately 75 team members globally. 

Travel: 1-5 international trips per year.
