Managing Director I, Bond Capital Markets:

GENERAL FUNCTION:Ā 

Senior leadership role leading deal teams working on capital-raising solutions, which include investment grade bonds. Develop relationships with senior executives both inside the bank and at our clients and prospects. Lead and participate in pitching, managing and closing complex financial transactions. Extensive travel is required along with excellent presentation skills, both oral and written.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external clients focused on the delivery of advice and analysis to those clients around key strategic, corporate finance, and capital markets issues and opportunities.Work as part of a team with the Relationship Managers and Capital Markets Specialists to deliver solutions that generate capital markets revenue from a targeted list of clients and prospectsManage and prioritize a pipeline of opportunities generated from the coverage of a specified geography or group of Relationship ManagersProvide leadership in the evaluation and execution of complex capital markets transactions crossing multiple product lines.Work with Senior Bankers, Investment Bankers and other members of the Commercial leadership team to provide training and resources around the effort to identify and address major capital markets opportunities in their geographies.Create and deliver high value-added financial analysis and strategic advice to the targeted universe of high-priority prospects and clients.Provide leadership around the creation and delivery of capital markets presentation materials.Lead deal teams in the structuring, underwriting, approval and execution of the relevant bond products with a solution orientation (rather than a product orientation).

Responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth; developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

15+ years of experience in Banking, Investment Banking, or Capital Markets.Strong credit underwriting skills.Proven track record of success in working as a part of a team to originate and close complex financial transactions.Leadership experience and history of involvement in key decisions around a growing financial services business.Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written.Strong mentoring and leadership skills.Expertise in one or more industries.MBA or the functional equivalent.Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79 license required.Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 63 license required.Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 24 (Supervisor) license optional

Compensation for this position is largely incentive-based. Incentives are combined with either a base salary or a draw, resulting in total cash compensation. More information can be obtained upon request.
