Managing Director - Operations, Southeast (Health & Human Services)

• Provide Program Management Operations leadership guidance to the Health Southeast Team

• Determining resource requirements, providing efficient and effective solutions to ensure progress and milestones are met

• Oversight of daily operations among states’ operations

• Provide P&L oversight

• Client relations and delivery

• Responsible for working with Maximus Business Development team to grow and expand this market area

• Development of key deliverables, including monthly, semi-annual, and annual plans, periodic reports, and meeting documents for senior-level meetings

• Co-lead proposal/capture efforts, including solutioning, writing, and key decision-making effort

• Identify areas of need and assist teams in getting appropriate resources

• Coordinate with technology and other leaders

• Average of 20 - 30% travel and up to 50%, to meet business needs


• Commitment to, and understanding of, diversity, equity, and inclusion values and practices• Understanding of health and/or human services program operations is a must • Prefer 10+ years of leadership experience, working within the government contracting environment providing program management or operations support across large, complex teams • Proven ability to adhere to project timelines and budget • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Masters or advanced degree a plus • Ability to create structure within an unstructured environment • Comfort with matrixed leadership in addition to traditional hierarchical leadership • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills • Excellent written and oral communication skills
