Overview As Managing Director of our Wholesale Business, you’ll lead branch operations and develop competitive wholesale propositions with top-tier insurer partners. In this pivotal role, you'll drive key financial, customer, and colleague KPIs, ensuring exceptional client conduct and fostering a high-performing team. We're seeking a visionary leader passionate about continuous improvement and collaboration with senior business leaders, insurers, and third parties to achieve ambitious UK strategic goals. You'll ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards while meeting the needs of customers, regulators, colleagues, and US stakeholders. Deliver outstanding financial performance and engage in a management certification function with annual assessments. How you'll make an impact Deliver Branch Strategy: Develop competitive wholesale propositions with strategic insurers. Foster a Sales and Marketing culture to drive growth. Use customer feedback for continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with professional standards. Financial and Data Management: Develop and manage the Branch business plan and budget. Own the Wholesale P&L and deliver budget. Present accurate data to support business operations. Lead and Develop the Team: Cultivate an inclusive and motivated team culture. Conduct performance reviews and link rewards to objectives. Promote professional development and succession planning. Build a talent pipeline for future growth. Risk and Governance: Implement the Enterprise Risk Management Framework. Identify, manage, and report risks in line with company policies. Ensure team compliance with mandatory training and CPD requirements. Participation on Boards and Committees: Attend and participate in relevant Boards and Committees within the Gallagher group. About You Experience in a Certified role or strong understanding of its requirements, with familiarity in general insurance products and FCA regulations. Proven experience in people management and development, with strong business acumen. Ability to engage and influence stakeholders, with excellent communication skills. Results-driven mindset and experience in a global, matrix-managed organization.
