Managing Editor
Description We are in search of a Managing Editor to join our client's team in North Royalton, Ohio. This role is situated within the telecom industry and focuses on the production and management of editorial content. As the Managing Editor, your primary function will be to oversee and guide the creation process of advertisements and layout designs, utilizing tools such as Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. Responsibilities: • Oversee the production of advertisements, ensuring they are in line with brand guidelines and meet quality standards • Manage the creation and layout of editorial content, ensuring consistency and coherence • Edits, writes & proofreads content and articles • Utilize Adobe InDesign for the layout and design of print materials • Use Photoshop for image editing and graphic design tasks, contributing to the visual appeal of our content • Coordinate with different departments to align the production schedule and meet deadlines • Monitor industry trends and incorporate them into our content strategy where appropriate • Ensure the accuracy and relevance of content before publication • Manage the work of the editorial team, providing guidance and feedback to improve output. • Overseeing and managing membership. • Event planning and coordination for annual and bi-annual events. Requirements • Proficient in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop • Experience in managing, developing, and proofreading editorial content • Strong knowledge of layout design and production processes • Ability to oversee and coordinate advertisement production • Proven leadership skills and ability to guide a team of editors and writers • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field preferred • Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment • Familiarity with current industry trends and a keen eye for creative ideas • Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment • Must have a proactive approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
