ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Machining aircraft parts using approved technical data. Work overtime and holidays on short notice. Follow customer’s special instructions and requirements. Follow all company procedures and policies. Follow all safety and security policies and regulations. Back up department functions, cross-train in other departments and perform other duties as assigned Report to work on a regular and consistent basis.
REQUIRED ABILITY TO:
Strong manual machining abilities, utilizing lathes, mills and hones Set-up and operate manual/conventional machines. Basic use of ALL machine shop precision tools and bore gages. Able to use manual lathe to turn OD, ID, face and groove parts. Able to make tooling and fixture. Hold tolerance as close as +/- .0002”. Be a reliable self-starter. Demonstrate the use of common hand tools Demonstrate the use of balance machines, micrometers, dial calipers, and pressure gauges Build alliances, partnerships and collaborate with co-workers in a tactful, professional and respectful manner. Be a team player with strong interpersonal skills Resolve workplace differences and conflict to achieve goals and objectives in a professional manner Foster an atmosphere of new ideas, input and creative solutions when faced with challenges Competent in machine shop mathematical practices
Compensation and Benefits: $28 - $35/hour (401k, Medical, Dental, Vision & more)
Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. The pay range represents the low and high end of the salary range we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, education, skills, qualifications, performance, and business or organizational needs.
