**Manual Machinist** Currently hiring a Manual Machinist in the Joliet, IL area. Hiring immediately. **Pay:** $27-$35/HR **Shift:** 1st shift M-F. 7AM-3:30PM (must be open to coming in early for overtime) **Job Description:** + Performing layouts and setting up and operating conventional machine tools as required. + Reading and interpreting all drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. + Designing setup methods where none exist. + Instructing other shop personnel on proper machining techniques. + Continually improving methods to deliver higher quality with improved costs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** + Completion of a machinist apprentice program or equivalent training. + Ability to hold close tolerances and conduct component inspections. + Ability to set up machine tools such as ID/OD Grinders, Engine Lathe, Horizontal Boring Mill, Vertical Boring Mill, Radial Drill, and Planer Mill. + Four years of experience in machine shop operations. + Willingness to work in a team environment. + Openness to working overtime as required. + Manual machining experience. + Experience with Mills and Lathes. **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes 15 days of paid time off, 11 company-paid holidays, a 401k plan with a 6% match, and a comprehensive health plan including medical, dental, vision, life, short-term and long-term disability.
