Manual Machinist
**Job Title: Manual Machinist** **Job Description** + As a Manual Machinist, you will perform a variety of tasks to ensure precision and quality in the fabrication of metal parts. + Your work will involve inspecting parts for defects, operating a range of machine tools, and using computer-controlled equipment to create precision parts. + You will read blueprints and engineering drawings to determine machining requirements and ensure materials conform to specifications. **Responsibilities** + Inspect parts for defects or flaws, such as scratches or dents, and make any necessary repairs. + Operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, and shapers to fabricate metal parts. + Read blueprints or engineering drawings and make operating notes regarding machining requirements. + Use machine tools to make larger hydraulic cylinder shafts and barrels, glands, and pistons materials to size using saws, files, chisels, and other tools. + Operate computer-controlled equipment to make precision parts for machinery, hydraulic equipment, industrial equipment, aerospace components, electronics, and other applications. + Select the proper cutting tool for each application and set up machinery for optimal performance. + Inspect and measure materials to ensure conformance with specifications. + Read drawings to determine cutting parameters, tool requirements, and machining time estimates. + Operate manual lathes and milling machines to machine parts from raw materials. **Essential Skills** + Minimum 3-5 years of experience in operating CNC machines in a metalworking environment. + Ability to set up and adjust programming for CNC machines. + Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints and DXF files. + Knowledge of the properties of metals and other materials. + Strong mathematical and analytical abilities. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with troubleshooting and programming CNC machines. + Familiarity with various machining tools and techniques. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic and supportive team where your skills and expertise are valued.
