**_Overview:_**
**As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for performing layouts, setting up, and operating conventional machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. You will work with a variety of materials and must be able to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.**
**_Responsibilities:_**
+ Perform layouts, set up, and operate conventional machine tools as required.
+ Read and interpret all drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
+ Design setup methods where none exist.
+ Instruct other shop personnel on proper machining techniques.
+ Continually improve methods to deliver higher quality with improved costs.
+ Operate various machine tools such as ID/OD Grinders, Turret Lathe, Engine Lathe, Horizontal Boring Mill, Vertical Boring Mill, Radial Drill, and Planer Mill.
**_Qualifications:_**
+ Completion of a machinist apprentice program or equivalent training.
+ Minimum of four years of experience in machine shop operations.
+ Ability to hold close tolerances and conduct component inspections.
+ Proficiency in setting up and operating various machine tools, including ID/OD grinders, turret lathes, engine lathes, horizontal boring mills, vertical boring mills, radial drills, and planer mills.
+ Strong understanding of technical drawings and blueprints.
+ Willingness to work in a team environment and openness to working overtime as required.

+ Machine Shop.
+ 1st Shift.
