**Job Title: Manual Machinist** **Job Description** We are currently seeking a Manual Machinist for our local shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the precise manual machining of all parts, ensuring accuracy within .0005”. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to perform on-site machine work and repairs. + Execute machining operations in accordance with approved procedures. + Perform repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting on various mechanical equipment. + Maintain and repair valves, pumps, compressors, motors, engines, turbines, generators, and other rotating and fixed equipment. + Coordinate and perform mechanical maintenance and repairs as needed. + Work in proximity to electrical circuits and machinery in various conditions. + Perform machining services including pump repairs, tool fabrication, parts inspection, documentation of findings, and ordering parts. + Drilling and tapping, milling motor or pump bases, line boring, and machinery setup. + Rigging. **Essential Skills** + Experience with manual lathe, mill, vertical table lathe, and horizontal boring mill. + Minor welding experience. + Ability to measure within .0005” accuracy. + Ability to disassemble and assemble various parts. + Strong attention to detail. + Capability to manufacture custom parts or tools. + General operational mechanical and maintenance knowledge of rotating equipment, valves, and pumps. + Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision. + Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced leadership. + Basic computer skills for planning, scheduling, record keeping, equipment analysis, and troubleshooting. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
