**Job Title: Manual Machinist**
**Job Description**
Operate manual lathes, mills, and other machining equipment to fabricate parts according to engineering specifications. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the necessary machining processes and tolerances. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy in production. Perform basic maintenance on machines and tools to ensure optimal operation. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Assist in the setup of CNC machines when required, including CAM programming tasks.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate manual lathes, mills, and other machining equipment to fabricate parts.
+ Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining processes and tolerances.
+ Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers for accuracy.
+ Perform basic maintenance on machines and tools to ensure optimal operation.
+ Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
+ Assist in the setup of CNC machines, including CAM programming tasks.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in operating Bridgeport, lathe, and surface grinding equipment.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Strong inspection and measuring experience using manual lathes, mills, and measuring tools.
+ Precision grinding and blueprint reading skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Proficiency in SolidWorks for designing and modifying parts.
+ Strong machining skills with experience in operating various power tools and manual machinery.
+ Familiarity with electrical discharge machining techniques is a plus.
+ Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements.
+ Experience with plastics injection molding processes is advantageous.
+ Ability to operate forklifts safely for material handling tasks.
+ Knowledge of welding techniques may be beneficial.

**Work Environment**
This is an 8-hour first shift position in a fast-paced environment that requires high attention to detail. You will be working with a small team, ensuring a close-knit and supportive work atmosphere.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $78000.00
Full benefits - dental, health, vision

sick pay based on NJ law
PTO and vacation after probationary
**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Oakland,NJ.
