**Job Title: Manual Lathe Machinist**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Manual Lathe Machinist to join our team on the 1st shift. You will be responsible for reading prints and cutting threads, with a significant amount of ball screw work. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 6 am to 4:30 pm, with potential Saturday shifts from 6 am to 12 pm.
**Responsibilities**
+ Read and interpret blueprints for machining operations.
+ Cut threads and perform ball screw work.
+ Use micrometers and precision measuring instruments.
+ Operate overhead cranes with up to 50-ton capacity.
+ Operate fork trucks and man lifts.
+ Manually lift 20-25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
**Essential Skills**
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Ability to read blueprints.
+ At least 2 years of experience with lathe operation and overhead cranes.
+ Proficiency with hand tools, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic lifts.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 5-10 years of lathe experience or CNC experience.
+ Experience working for large steel companies.
+ Advanced welding skills.
+ Experience with 50-ton overhead cranes.

**Work Environment**
Our facility spans 9 acres with over 100,000 square feet under the roof. It includes 34 overhead and jib cranes, with crane capacities reaching up to 100 tons. The shop features various equipment, including CNC horizontal and vertical boring mills, press brakes, hydraulic presses, saws, welders, and drill presses. The work environment is well-equipped to handle large-scale and precision machining tasks.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a direct-hire position based out of Waterford, Michigan.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $56160.00
Family owned, good benefits starting after 90 days of service. Vacation - 1 week after 1 year - 2 weeks after 2 years. Medical, dental, vision, life insurance policy.
**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in WATERFORD,MI.
