**Job Title: Manual Machinist** **Job Description** The Manual Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating manual machines, fabricating and assembling tooling, fixtures, and custom parts according to precise specifications. This role requires precision measurement, tool maintenance, and manual setup and alignment to ensure exact placement and positioning of tools, attachments, and workpieces. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate manual machines to fabricate and assemble tooling, fixtures, and custom parts. + Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify that finished workpieces meet strict specifications. + Regularly sharpen and replace cutting tools to maintain quality standards and prolong tool life. + Manually set up and align tools, attachments, and workpieces on machines using hand tools, clamps, and measuring instruments. **Essential Skills** + Manual machining experience + Manual lathe and mill experience + Ability to read and interpret drawings and CAD models + Proficiency in using precision measurement instruments + Ability to produce parts and maintain high tolerances + Good verbal and written communication skills + Ability to lift/move 50 lbs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited school required + Apprenticeship and/or formal training in the area of specialty preferred + At least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area + Job shop preferred + Knowledge of blueprint reading, troubleshooting, change over, machine operating, programming, lathe, grinder, and mill **Why Work Here?** This position offers a temp-to-perm opportunity with benefits upon permanent hire.
