Summary: Seeking a Machine Operator for manual milling and lathe operations, ensuring high-quality part production according to specifications.
Job Requirements:
High/Vocational school diploma
Knowledge of basic shop math, blueprint reading, and inspection equipment
1 to 3 years of experience with millers and/or lathe machines
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in setting up and operating Bridgeport millers and/or Turret Lathes
Ability to select proper materials, feeds, speeds, and tool offsets for machining tasks
Competency in using dial calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, comparators for part inspections
Experience maintaining SPC Data
Job Responsibilities:
Set up and operate milling/turret lathe machines as per blueprints
Inspect first piece parts and conduct in-process inspections to ensure conformance with print tolerances
Manage workflow by moving parts to the next operation area as needed
Assist other operators with setup processes when required
Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
Physical Demands:
Must be able to sit, stand, bend and lift up to 60 lbs regularlyWork Environment:
