Manufacturing Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Manufacturing Accountant. This role is essential in providing financial insights to support manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, a solid foundation in financial analysis, and experience in a manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

Analyze financial results against plans, forecasts, and budgets to identify trends and variances. Gather, organize, and document relevant financial information to support decision-making. Develop and manage financial models to assess the financial impact of various business scenarios. Conduct cost-accounting analysis, including standard cost variance analysis and inventory valuation. Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. Evaluate capital expenditure proposals to assess financial viability and return on investment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial support and analysis. Perform other accounting and financial analysis tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a business degree with 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience with ERP systems. Proven project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Experience in cost accounting, internal auditing, and capital expenditure evaluation.
