Job Description

  

Teledyne Microwave Solutions has over 50 years of experience in the design, development, and manufacture of sophisticated microwave/RF components and integrated assemblies for the most demanding challenges. Our products and capabilities are sought after by civilian and military organizations spanning numerous global markets, including Aviation, Communication, Electronic Warfare (EW/ECM/CIED), Industrial, Missile/UAV, Radar, Satcom, Space, and Test and Measurement. Teledyne is hiring an Assembler that under supervision, performs a wide variety of assembly and subassembly operations of a highly skilled nature. Uses assembly drawings and written and verbal instructions to construct and assemble a wide variety of assemblies, subassemblies, and component parts. Uses standard electronic assembly tools and materials to perform a wide variety of assembly operations such as wire bonding, die attach, substrate attach and board installation. Identifies and selects components to be integrated into subassembly and assembly units. Makes own set-ups, alignments and adjustments maintaining tolerance in accordance with instructions. Disassembles, modifies, reworks, refurbishes, reassembles, and tests units as required. May also perform re-work. 

Responsibilities may include:

Perform wedge bonding and ball bonding

Install modules in the case

Operate the ribbon bonder to hook up amplifiers

Perform manual gap welding

Prepare lids for amplifiers

Install copper tape on amplifiers

Build flatpack amplifiers using conductive epoxy

Die attach silicon and GaAs FET components to thin-film alumina substrates

Perform bond pull and keep accurate records in the bond pull log

Solder the regulator wires in the case at hookup

Perform rework on amplifiers for the technicians

Review IN drawings/Tech Sheet to ensure that marking is correct

Perform touch up painting on Amplifiers prior to Final QA

Coordinate schedule with paint shop as required

Knowledge and Experience

Must be able to read and interpret assembly drawings and schematics.

Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.

Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: High School Diploma

Minimum experience required:  2-4 year previous experience working in Assembly

Salary Range:

$35,090.00-$46,970.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
