Manufacturing Associate (2nd Shift) 3:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.

 

Pay Rate: $ 19.26 + shift differential

The Job You Will Perform:

The Manufacturing Associate performs a variety of activities to maintain plant equipment

The Manufacturing Associate must follow all safety rules and procedures; watch out for self and team member’s safety at all times.  Always follow lock out and tag out, MSK, and always use personal protective equipment (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toed shoes & safety vest, others as required).  Must understand and carry out housekeeping standards.  Must demonstrate teamwork and resolve issues effectively and professionally.  Must be capable of running machine at safe speeds and top quality to meet customer needs.

Primary Manufacturing Associate duties/responsibilities include:

following all safety rules and practices; reading factory work orders, print cards, and other documents to learn customer requirements; identifying stock and products that correspond to work orders; performing assigned duties to insure that production needs are met; assisting other associates as needed; accurately using tape measures and other measurement and test equipment; inspecting, counting, stacking, and unitizing products according to customer specifications; identifying and segregating nonconforming (reject) products and materials; accurately completing time sheets, reports, lists, and other records; keeping the supervisor informed of any problems and/or unusual situations; maintaining work areas to plant standards of housekeeping; maintaining teamwork with machine crews and other associates; and Performing other duties as assigned by supervision.

 

 

Qualifications:

The qualifications for Manufacturing Associates are the ability to perform the duties / responsibilities of the job with or without accommodation; the ability to read, write, and speak English; the ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler; the ability to use basic shop math; the ability to learn; and the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team. Production supervisors evaluate Manufacturing Associates qualifications.

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

Demonstrated ability to detect, prevent, and resolve quality issues, involving the Operator or management for resolution of issues or confirming quality expectations as needed.  Must be able to read a standard tape measure, read and thoroughly understand job specifications, and follow written and oral directions.  Must be a self-starter, able to operate from directions or independently as needed.  Demonstrated ability to add and subtract all units of measure read and copy figures, and count and record figures.  A comprehension level is required to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in English in written or oral form and to deal with problems.  Constant standing, walking, and reaching at or below shoulder level; frequent twisting, bending, and lifting from the ground; repetitive lifting up to 35 pounds.  Must be willing and able to work daily and weekly overtime, including weekends, as business conditions require.  Must be willing to accept direction from the Operator to insure the most efficient operation possible.  All other duties as assigned.
