Volt is immediately hiring a Manufacturing Scientist in Cedar Creek, TX.

\r\n\r\n

As a Manufacturing Scientist you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPerform plasmid and DNA purifications and perform DNA quantification using nanodrop spectrophotometer\r\n\tManufacture and test complex master mixes and bulks used in RT-PCR and QPCR kits\r\n\tManufacture and test microarray reagents used in genomic DNA labeling kits and hybridization kits\r\n\t Analyze quantitative data and report results accurately\r\n\tActively assist in the execution of manufacturing process validations for new processes, products, and regulatory level validations\r\n\tActively assist with the introduction of new products and the exploration of new technologies for the improvement of product quality\r\n\t Assist other teams in the production and testing of products as required and other duties as assigned\r\n\tMaintain stocks of raw materials required for manufacturing and quality control testing\r\n\tMaintaining a work environment based on 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is a full-time, Temp to Hire opportunity.

\r\n\r\n

The ideal candidate will have:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBS/BA degree in biological science or related field and two (2) to four (4) years of previous experience in chemistry, molecular biology, and/or biochemistry\r\n\tHands on working knowledge of standard laboratory techniques of molecular biology is required, including plasmid purifications, PCR and QPCR. Experience with NGS or microarray testing is a plus\r\n\tStrong oral and written communication, organization, and computer skills (especially Microsoft tools, including Excel) are essential to the role\r\n\r\n\r\n

Salary: $27 an hour.
