Joby Aviation is seeking a passionate Manufacturing Engineer to join our Powertrain & Electronics Manufacturing Engineering Team in San Carlos, CA. The Manufacturing Engineer will lead manufacturing equipment design and process development of actuators, working closely with a cross functional team, made of Quality, Production, Design, Supply Chain, etc. This individual must be highly organized and self-driven, possessing a deep understanding of mechanical, process, and industrial engineering fundamentals to successfully scale projects from prototype to low volume production, while keeping a vision for a future high volume production in mind. This position is exciting and rewarding, as the Manufacturing Engineer will promptly see their ideas influence many key areas due to the fast pace of Joby Aviation.
Responsibilities Lead cross functional work for process/equipment/tool development.Own and improve existing production lines, tools and procedures.Own design of new tools, equipment and processes for upcoming projects.Author Manufacturing Execution System procedures for Operations team to use. The target base pay for this position is $92,200 - $149,700 per year salary. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
