Manufacturing Engineer-2nd Shift

Job Summary: 
Trane Technologies is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer II in La Crosse, WI on 2nd Shift. In this role, you will coordinate, organize and supervise production process methods and engineering activities that enable production. This includes sustaining engineering, new product launch processes and continuous improvement activities. The position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining production processes to drive quality and efficiency and to develop manufacturing plans which improve operations competitiveness.

Work Arrangement: This position has been designated as onsite in our La Crosse, WI facility for a second shift schedule (M-Thurs 3:30pm-2am CST); and is considered a safety-sensitive role.

Responsibilities:

• Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems, including investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.

• Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools to improve manufacturing operations.

• Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality.

• Uphold manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times.

 • Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets product and manufacturing specifications given local needs.

 • Serve as a voice of the customer for input for new design development.

• Partner with on-site EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Degree preferred in Engineering or related technical disciplines; minimum of high school diploma or GED required.

• Ability to accurately assess manufacturing issues related to process and design.

• Effective communication at multiple levels coupled with ability to build relationships.

• Growth mindset – desire to expand technical skillset.

• Results-driven to maintain accountability and customer-focus

• PFMEA experience preferred.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $80,000-$100,000.
