Your Role

This position will contribute greatly to stabilizing and scaling manufacturing processes at Aperia. Stabilization will come with documenting and improving current manufacturing processes while scaling up activities will be driven by measurable improvements to the capacity, quality, and yield of Aperia’s manufacturing facility. Responsibilities will grow as capabilities are demonstrated and new products are developed. This role requires the development of ambitious plans, breaking them into tangible goals and executing on agreed-upon timelines. The role is part process design, part project management, and part hands-on implementation.

Your Responsibilities

Act as the primary escalation path for resolving daily equipment issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Develop and implement strategies for improving equipment reliability and manufacturing processes. Analyze data and trends to identify root causes of recurring problems and drive preventative measures. Utilize data analysis tools to monitor and evaluate manufacturing processes. Identify trends and areas for improvement to enhance overall efficiency. Assist in the selection, installation, and commissioning of new equipment. Ensure new machinery integrates seamlessly with existing processes. Work closely with equipment design engineers to oversee the implementation of their designs and ensure effective problem resolution. Provide feedback and insights to enhance future designs. Develop and optimize programming for automated equipment. Enhance production efficiency through automation solutions. Apply mechanical expertise to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Provide hands-on support to maintenance teams as needed. Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure cohesive operations. Lead cross-functional projects aimed at improving manufacturing processes. Maintain detailed records of equipment issues, maintenance activities, and improvements. Generate reports to track performance and highlight successes.

Skills/Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on equipment maintenance and process improvement. Proficiency in data analysis and root cause analysis methodologies. Experience with programming and automation in a manufacturing setting. Strong mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to preventing future issues. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including design engineers. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.

Pay Range: $115,000 - $120,000

*Base salary only. Salary is dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.
