Roles & Responsibilities:

Work alongside the manufacturing engineering team and shop floor to create work instructions for involving welding, fabrication, and machining operationsDevelop, produce, and modify process operation and assembly sheets. (Solumina preferred)Knowledge of GD&T and can integrate within a production process. Keen understanding of B/P interpretation as it relates to specification requirementsMay have a working knowledge of 3D modeling (NX preferred)Experienced with basic manufacturing processes, methods, and techniques. Particularly in aluminum and steel brazing, welding, and machining. Understanding of Heat Exchanger manufacturing is a plus.Ability to mark-up requirements for fixtures, tools, and gagesSupport supplier questions about fixtures and part requirementsAbility to manage various projects and tasks while following approval process for authoring operation sheetsIdentify areas for improved product manufacturability, reduced product cost, or improved product reliabilityCommunicates technical subject matter proficiently, both written and verballyResponds effectively in high-paced environmentProduction troubleshooting (cause & effect) must be a strengthProficient in RCCA methodology and can own actions to drive down product nonconformance Can rationalize and implement inspection methods and techniquesSkilled in project management and follows up on tasks dailyCreate presentations based on process data and results to show opportunities for productivity improvements and cost savingsAbility to manage various project and process tasks related to product quality

Required Skills (Technical Competencies):Solid understanding of manufacturing operationsKnowledge of various tools, gages, and fixturesProficient in blueprint readingProficient in GD&T as well as a firm background in generating operation sheetsExperienced in AS9100 and basic manufacturing processes, methods, and techniques. Particularly in aluminum and steel brazing, welding, and machining. Competency with machines and tools required to fabricate and manufacture Sheet MetalKnowledge of processes for cutting, bending, assembling, and welding sheet metal parts, tools, or components
Desired Skills:Ability to create clear and concise work instructions (Solumina)Familiarity with Teamcenter and NX preferredProficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPointSelf-motivated to ensure accountability, disciplined to improve processes, passionate about engineering, and organized to track many work streamsExcellent verbal and written communicationOrganized with the ability to multi-task while driving actions to completionExcellent communication and teamwork skillsSolid computer skills, including Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel 
 
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:Shop floor and office workHeavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to proceduresFlexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving earlyTypical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PMFlexibility in workday/weekends to meet customer production scheduleAbility to use personal transportation to visit customer locationsDue to the nature of work, candidates must be US Citizen
