Job Summary:

 

As a Manufacturing Engineer you'll work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment to further Mercury Systems' advanced, custom microelectronics solutions by developing 2.5D, Heterogeneous, System in Package (SiP) solutions from inception through production. This is a “hands-on” position with regular interface with Operations personnel and other Engineering disciplines to provide technical support across various equipment sets and process technology platforms. You’ll work with an excellent, multi-disciplined team, to exceed expectations for our commercial, industrial, and military customers.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain methods, operations sequence and processes for the manufacturing of product across multiple platforms and various equipment sets. Interface with Process and Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering and Operations in coordinating the release of new products, equipment program setup and transfers, equipment troubleshooting and minor repairs. Analyze and research methods of increasing productivity and reducing production unit cost along with yield improvements. Develop and characterize new processes including materials, equipment, tooling, and metrology for new product/project. Stabilize existing processes so that they are suitably mature for production manufacturing. Conduct statistical analysis, and generation of monthly reports for existing process equipment, and process performance: Equipment up time/Availability to Production (Manually collect) SPC trend Process Yield& Rework Identify potential process/equipment/material improvements. Implement continuous improvements utilizing DOE’s, SPC with targeting physical cause of failure for yield loss and improving quality. Develop and maintain documentation for use on the shop floor by production employees.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineer, Chemical Enginee or equivalent Experience with the following is a plus: Oracle, Agile PLM Atlassian tool suite including Jama, Confluence, and Jira Lab / test equipment: power supplies, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc. Work effectively individually and as part of a team  Excellent writing, spelling, verbal, and interpersonal skills Regular attendance is required. May occasionally be required to work overtime. Travel may be required. Starting shift schedule may be M-F 8 to 5 for training purposes.
