Manufacturing Engineer

Scope of Responsibility:

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities, develop and implement solutions, and monitor and analyze process performance metrics to ensure continued success. The Manufacturing Engineer will also provide technical support and project leadership on major capital projects. This will include initial scoping, vendor selection, CAPEX approval and project ownership from initiation to successful completion.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.Identify process improvement opportunities and work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions.Analyze and interpret data to monitor and improve process performance metrics.Provide technical support to production teams, including troubleshooting and problem-solving to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful project execution and delivery.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of operational excellence.Regular and on-time attendance.Work in your shift as scheduled.Getting along with coworkers with a positive attitude and engagement

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to read, write, and speak English.Strong project management skills.Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and tools.Knowledge of safety, environmental, and quality standards.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing software applications.Ability to travel up to 75% of the time to meet project requirements. 

Preferred Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on manufacturing process.Experienced using 3D CAD software for equipment design and plant layouts.Experience implementing automation in manufacturing processes to improve quality and efficiency.Ability to identify new technology and implement into a production environment.Lean Manufacturing knowledge and implementation Welding of steel structuresEngineered to order manufacturing processes

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time.Ability to use hands and fingers to manipulate tools or equipment.Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including extreme heat and cold.Ability to travel to Sabre manufacturing locations.Ability to work extended hours to implement projects and support manufacturing.
