As our Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

 

 

Continuously drive improvements in process design, layout and operational performance. 

Equipment specification, design, procurement, installation, commissioning, modification and validation. 

Use of established problem-solving techniques to address challenging problems in production 

Technical servicing and maintenance of manufacturing and personalizing equipment.  

Support central IT in managing local IT network and interfaces  

Analysis of process, product, material or equipment specifications and performance  

Responsible for calibration and preventative maintenance of production equipment 

Develops technical documentation such as standard operating procedures, safety programmes, validation protocols, technical reports, engineering calculations, change controls and other documentation as required. 

Providing technical leadership to production technicians. Leads technical projects with cross functional teams. 

Evaluates in conjunction with EHS new equipment/processes/chemicals for environmental impact/effect to eliminate or lessen such impacts/effects. 

Support transfer of Manufacturing process from other HID sites to Galway 

International business travel is sometimes required, and the candidate must be flexible in this respect 

 

 

What we will love about your background:  

 

Previous experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer in an automated production environment 

Strong experience in Pneumatics, hydraulics, PC and PLC control, Vision systems etc. 

Experience with tools & hands-on experience supporting machines in a production environment 

Previous experience in RFID card manufacturing or secure printing industry a distinct advantage 

 

 

 

Your Experience and Education include:     

 

Bachelor's degree in electrical / mechanical engineering or related discipline 

Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc. 

Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. 

Native level fluency in English language 

Fluency in another language is desirable
