Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Description + Define and control the production process, including tooling and equipment. + Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new products, tools, or equipment. + Develop and update work instructions for new and legacy products, including related manufacturing process documentation such as manufacturing specifications and standard operating procedures. + Support assembly equipment purchases through installation. + Assist a cross-functional team of Production Supervisors, Quality Engineers, and production employees in resolving manufacturing process problems through a drive to root cause and permanent corrective action. + Identify and reduce product quality issues caused by process variation. + Utilize lean-manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs, and increase capacity. + Use judgment and technical experience to propose solutions outside of set parameters to address complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles.
