Manufacturing Engineer
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description

Develop and improve machining and/or assembly manufacturing processes. Create job aids and work instructions. Manage complex projects and complete Part & Process SPAP / PPAP. Create and maintain Routings / BOMS. Process engineering changes and create/maintain SFMEA. Create/maintain control plans / PFMEA. Use industrial engineering tools such as time studies, line balancing, man-machine charts, and value stream maps to eliminate waste. Utilize LN system use and provide training to users. Validate and support all quality gate audits. Lead safety investigations and perform 1Page DMAIC process. Determine processing needs to ensure fixtures, tooling, and methods are provided to meet schedules and production requirements. Work to improve processes, timeliness, and reduce costs by eliminating non-value-added activities. Implement corporate initiatives such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Internal Certification. Monitor and improve safety on the shop floor; eliminate any unsafe operations and ensure a safe and clean production environment. Evaluate, assess, and identify training needs of the workforce. Drive root cause identification and the continuous improvement process. Possess CNC/PLC programming awareness (machining only) and Team Center Mfg / NX awareness and use.

Work Environment

Work on the shop floor, monitor and improve safety, and ensure a clean production environment. Implement various corporate initiatives and improve processes to reduce costs by eliminating non-value-added activities.
